1. Why can't Animal Services respond to dogs running at large after hours?: Animal Service officers are not at the shelter or patrolling the streets after-hours. When a dog is spotted running at large by the public, the dog is not going to stay in the same spot, it is going to be moving. In the past, a great deal of tax payer money was spent to pay overtime for Animal Service officers to look for dogs running at large; the success rate was very low and could not be justified.

2. What do I do if I see a snake in my yard?: Leave it alone if it is just passing through your yard. If it is where you need to be, spray it with water or push it out with a broom or stick.

3. Are Pit Bull type dogs allowed in Sherwood?: No. Pit Bull type dogs are not allowed in Sherwood at this time.

4. How do I volunteer at the shelter?: 1. Complete a volunteer application/liability form
2. $20 annual membership fee (get volunteer T-shirt)
3. Complete orientation (approx. 45 mins)
Usually on Tues or Wed between 11:00 am & 3:45 pm.

1. What does it cost to have an event at The Greens at North Hills?: The cost varies by day of the week and time of the day. Additional hours can be added at the rate of $25 per hour, and they must be continuous with the six- or nine-hour time block purchased.
Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. - $300
Monday-Thursday, 3 p.m. to midnight - $350
Friday-Sunday, 9 hours - $700

2. What is included in the rental of The Greens at North Hills?: Nineteen (19) 60" round tables
150 white wooden folding chairs
Four 8' long tables
Two 6' long tables
Four 3'x3' square tables
Basic sound system with microphone and 1/4" input for iPod/cellular device
55" TV on rolling cart

3. How do I hold my date for The Greens at North Hills?: To hold your date, we require a signed contract and policy form, a $150/day room deposit and a $200 refundable damage deposit. The remaining balance, less the $150 room deposit, will be due 10 days before your event.

4. If I need to cancel my event at The Greens at North Hills, will I get anything back?: For events canceled 90 days prior to the event date, 100% of your deposit will be refunded. For events canceled 60 days prior to the event date, 50% of your deposit will be refunded. For events canceled 30 days prior to the event date, 25% of your deposit will be refunded. Events that are canceled less than 30 days prior the event date, 0% of the deposit will be refunded.

5. Can I use my own caterer or bring my own food for my event at The Greens at North Hills?: All food served must be provided by a caterer. All caterers must be licensed by the State of Arkansas and must bring copies of licenses, permits and proof of liability insurance prior to scheduled event.
