The City of Sherwood Advertising & Promotions Commission invites the public to an evening of “Food, Fun & Fireworks” at the city’s annual Independence Day Family Celebration at Sherwood Forest, 1111 W. Maryland Ave. from 6-9:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 3, 2021.
Food trucks will be on-site to offer a variety of options for purchase. Interested food truck vendors may contact Korey Malloy at 501-835-8909. Free bottled water, courtesy of BankOZK, will be available, beginning at 6 p.m. while supplies last.
Musician Steven Gary will provide music on stage beginning at 7 p.m. until the fireworks display by Hog Wild Pyrotechnics begins at dusk.
In the Kids Zone, kids of all ages can play on inflatables or visit the petting zoo, which will include a baby kangaroo and a variety of farm animals from Cockrill’s Country Critters. The Kids Zone will be open until 8:30 p.m.
Alcohol, pets, bikes, skateboards and coolers are not permitted, but chairs and picnic blankets are welcome.
Limited parking is available on-site. Additional parking is available at the Sylvan Hills High School rear parking lot located at 508 Bear Paw Road with free shuttles provided by First Baptist Church of Sherwood. A wheelchair-accessible shuttle provided by the Jack Evans Senior Center will also be available. Shuttles will run from 6-10:30 p.m. with a pause 15 minutes before and after the fireworks display.
