The City of Sherwood Advertising & Promotions Commission invites the public to an evening of “Food, Fun & Fireworks” at the city’s annual Independence Day Family Celebration at Sherwood Forest, 1111 W. Maryland Ave. from 6-9:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 2, 2022.
Food trucks will be on-site to offer a variety of options for purchase. Interested food truck vendors may contact Jamie Fuell at 501-413-8030. Complimentary bottled water, courtesy of BankOZK, will be available at 6 p.m. while supplies last. Musician Jack Seabaugh will provide music in the pavilion beginning at 6 p.m. until the fireworks display by Hog Wild Pyrotechnics starts at dusk. Kids of all ages can play on inflatables and participate in other activities in the Kids Zone. The Kids Zone will be open until 8:30 p.m.
Alcohol, pets, bikes, skateboards, and coolers are not permitted, but chairs and picnic blankets are welcome.
Limited parking is available on-site. Additional parking is available at the Sylvan Hills High School rear parking lot located at 508 Bear Paw Road with free shuttles provided by First Baptist Church of Sherwood. A wheelchair-accessible shuttle provided by the City of Sherwood will also be available. Shuttles will run from 6-10:30 p.m. with a pause 15 minutes before and after the fireworks display.
