The City of Sherwood Advertising & Promotions Commission invites the public to an evening of “FoodFun & Fireworks” at the city’s annual 4th of July Family Celebration at Sherwood Forest, 1111 W. Maryland Ave. from 6-9 p.m. on Thursday, July 4, 2019.

Chips and free hot dogs, grilled by the grilling team at Central Baptist Church of North Little Rock, as well as bottled water, courtesy of BankOZK, will be served, beginning at 6 p.m. while supplies last.


A patriotic program, emceed by Carlton Wing, will begin at 6:30 p.m., to honor military heroes and celebrate the nation’s independence. Local singer Aubree McCullough will sing the National Anthem during the program. As each branch of the military is honored, pins will be handed out to all current and former service members by Boy Scouts Troop 83 and the North Hills Services Unit Girl Scouts.

Following the patriotic program, the crowd is invited to sit back and relax as the 106th Army Band entertains until the fireworks display by Hog Wild Pyrotechnics begins at 9 p.m.

Kids Zone

In the Kids Zone, kids of all ages can play on inflatables or have their face painted and receive patriotic temporary tattoos from That Church volunteers while supplies last.

Alcohol, pets, bikes, skateboards and coolers are not permitted, but chairs and picnic blankets are welcome.

​Parking and Shuttles

Parking is available onsite or at the Sherwood Sports Complex, 511 Bear Paw Road with free shuttles provided by First Baptist Church of Sherwood. A wheelchair-accessible shuttle provided by the Jack Evans Senior Center will also be available. Shuttles will run from 5:30-10:30 p.m. with a pause 15 minutes before and after the fireworks display.
