

T-Ball Leagues (Ages 4 - 6)
The Parks & Recreation Department offers a T-Ball League for boys and girls age 4 that is sponsored by the Sherwood/Sylvan Hills Optimist Club. Registration for the spring and summer league is in January and February of each year. The registration fee includes a uniform for the child. The Parks & Recreation Department offers two separate T-Ball Leagues for 5 and 6 years; a Baseball League for the boys, and a Softball League for the girls. The Optimist Club also sponsors these leagues.
Pitching Machine & Coach Pitch Leagues (Ages 7 - 8)
The Parks & Recreation Department offers 7 and 8 year-old boys a Baseball League where a machine does all pitching. For the girls ages 7 and 8 there is a Softball League where the Coach pitches. The Optimist Club sponsors these children's leagues. Registration for the spring and summer league is in January and February of each year. The registration fee includes a uniform for each child.
Youth Baseball & Softball Leagues (Ages 9 - 16)
The Parks & Recreation Department offers a Youth Baseball Leagues for boys age 9 through 15, and a Youth Softball League for girls age 9 through 16. The Optimist Club sponsors these youth leagues. Registration for the spring and summer league is in January and February of each year. The registration fee includes a uniform for the participant.
Legion Baseball League (Ages 16 - 19)
The Parks & Recreation Department offers a Legion Baseball League for boys age 16 through 19, sponsored by the Optimist Club. Registration for the spring and summer league is in January and February of each year. The registration fee includes a uniform for the player.
Youth Basketball Leagues
The Parks & Recreation Department offers three Youth
Basketball Leagues for children in 2nd and 3rd
grade, 4th and 5th grade, and 6th
thru 8th grades. Registration is open from
mid September to mid October each year. Practice begins
shortly after registration ends. Play starts in
December and continues through about mid February.
Practice and games are all held at the Bill Harmon
Recreation Center at 51 Shelby Drive in Sherwood.

Youth Soccer Leagues (Ages 4 - 12)
The Parks & Recreation Department offers a Youth Soccer Leagues for children age 4 through 12 years old. The Soccer Leagues are divided by age brackets as follows:

Adult Tennis League (Ages 18 and Older)
The Parks & Recreation Department offers a Youth Tennis League for children age 5 through 17, and an Adult Tennis League for individual's age 18 and older. The Adult Tennis League is certified by the United States Tennis Association, and plays:

Youth Football League and Cheerleading (Ages 5-16)
Central Arkansas Pop Warner offers several youth
football leagues for children age 5 through 16 years
old. The cheerleading and dance squads compete in four
different age ranges, as well as two squad sizes, and
three competition categories.
The Central Arkansas Pop Warner Little Scholars program
is designed to promote academics, fitness, and to
develop well-rounded young men and women.
