Garbage, Recycling & Yard Waste

The City of Sherwood provides a weekly garbage pick-up service for all private residences.

Businesses may contract for either weekly or biweekly garbage pickup by calling the Public Works Department at 501-835-3288 from 7 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

For solid wastes including water heaters or appliances, you may contact the Public Works Department at 501-835-3288 to schedule pickup at no additional charge. We encourage our residents to recycle paper, plastic, and aluminum cans.

Yard Waste

Yard waste must be bagged before it can be picked-up by our Sanitation Department. An exception to this requirement is our fall and winter leaf pick-up service that runs from November through January. Fallen leaves may be raked to the curbside for pick-up during this time-frame without first being bagged.

Wheels for Wishes

Wheels For Wishes is a car donation program benefiting Make-A-Wish® Mid-South. We are proud to offer an easy way to recycle or donate unwanted cars, trucks, motorcycles, SUVs, RVs, or even boats, by turning them into a wish for a local child.
